Nearly a decade ago, Jodi Fyfe — principal of local event and catering service Paramount Events — launched Tickled Pink Chicago to honor her cousin Carrie, who lost her battle with breast cancer at 35. On Feb. 28, Fyfe paid tribute to Carrie alongside more than 1,000 supporters at the ninth annual Tickled Pink event. Dozens of local personalities, including Anthony Ponce and Andrea Metcalf, turned out to Block 37 (108 N. State) to sell raffle tickets and mingle with the crowd while sampling fare from Chicago’s top restaurants. More than $65,000 was raised for Tickled Pink’s event partner Bright Pink, the only national nonprofit that focuses on prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer.
The Sun-Times was the media sponsor of this event.
