The Field Museum (1400 S. Michigan) welcomed nearly 1,000 guests on March 9 to the first annual fundraiser for Camp Kesem, a free summer program for children whose parents have been diagnosed with cancer. Sponsored by Giordano’s and Victory Park Capital, the family-friendly evening kicked off with tasty appetizer pizzas, including some topped with chocolate-and-marshmallow s’mores. Kids stayed busy with scavenger hunts and arts and crafts, while adults such as Camp Kesem CEO Jane Saccaro, Victory Park Capital founder Richard Levy, Giordano’s CEO Yorgo Koutsogiorgas, Giordano’s Executive Chef Russell Bry and NFL stars Torry and Terrence Holt — who flew in from North Carolina to make a $40,000 donation from their Holt Brothers Foundation — bid on items from a live auction to help raise $300,000 for Camp Kesem.
