This week, we’re toasting Anthony Martin and Elaina Vazquez, Quarles & Brady LLC and Silk Road Rising and Tim Smithe Jr and Kyla McCarthy. Raise a glass to recently engaged culinary couple Anthony Martin, executive chef of progressive French restaurant Tru, and Elaina Vazquez, owner of luxe catering company Boutique Bites. The duo will tie the knot in July in an intimate ceremony at Tru. Congratulations to law firm Quarles & Brady LLP and theater company Silk Road Rising (pictured above). Both Chicago companies received the Chicago Sinfonietta’s second annual Chairperson’s Award for Diversity and Inclusion for their accomplishments in promoting diversity in the workplace. We’re thrilled for Tim Smithe Jr. and Kyla McCarthy, who recently became engaged. The son of local furniture magnate Tim Smithe and his fiancee met while working at CareerBuilder. The couple will marry in June. Send us your cheers at Splash@suntimes.com.
