The Kardashians have built a multimillion dollar empire, but their desire for fame and fortune comes at a hefty price. The family is falling apart and you have to wonder if momager Kris Jenner (above) still believes that throwing her entire family into the limelight has been worth it. Kris and hubby Bruce have been fighting off divorce reports. “Momager” Kris Jenner

Khloe Kardashian and her NBA player husband, Lamar Odom, are also hanging on by a thread. Lamar’s on-court performance has taken a turn for the worse since he agreed to do reality TV, and several sources say his game has suffered because he’s playing too much off the court. He’s often spotted out partying at L.A. hot spots with no Khloe in sight. Clippers execs and fans alike have been outraged by Lamar’s lack of effort. Meanwhile, Kourtney Kardashian and her baby daddy, Scott Disick, are in the same boat. Scott is spotted out at clubs more than he’s seen spending time with his newborn and family. Khloe’s job has been in jeopardy too. There’s rumors Simon Cowell will fire her from her co-hosting gig on “X Factor.”

Shockingly, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are better off than the rest of the family. Bruce told a crowd in Chicago he predicts Kanye and Kim will get engaged soon. That’s one statement I’m actually buying.

Hollywood divorce updates

Not long ago I reported that Adrienne Maloof would have a new hot and younger man in no time. Sure enough, I ran into the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star at Us Weekly’s American Music Awards after party and a slew of good-looking younger men were flirting with the socialite, including Rod Stewart’s 22-year-old son, Sean. Adrienne told me she’s doing well since news broke of her divorce. “I try to remain strong and be a good example for women on the show,” she said. I also ran into Connor Cruise earlier in the night at Katsuya in Hollywood, and he appears to be doing great since dad Tom Cruise divorced Katie Holmes. Connor said he’s working hard at making a name for himself as a deejay. The young Cruise will go far, because just like his dad, he’s nice, charming and a hard worker. Those qualities are rare in Tinseltown.
