Despite the name, Little City does huge work, offering housing, medical support and job counseling to Chicagoans with intellectual and developmental disabilities. At its annual dinner gala, Little City, Big Solutions, the organization will honor the Motorola Solutions Foundation with the prestigious Sidney L. Port Legacy of Distinction Award for its charitable contributions to community programs and for hiring those with disabilities in the workplace. Event chairman Matthew Schubert, along with co-chairmen Nancy Desmond, Angie Landsman, Daniel Luber and Robert Samson will be joined by Splash’s own Susanna Negovan, who will emcee the event, which also includes dinner, cocktails, dancing and a silent auction. Tickets start at $400. Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park, 200 N. Columbus; Littlecity.org/annualgala.
