You could say that Jacqui Rovirosa and Ryan Eakes finally found time for love. Nearly five years after they met while working together at the Tourneau watch store in Las Vegas — and almost two years after moving to Chicago, where they both took positions at prominent watch retailers (she is now at Tourneau, 835 N. Michigan, and he is the general manager at Rolex, 636 N. Michigan) — the pair said their I-do’s on Sept. 23. “Vegas was great for work and business, and I found the love of my life, but I was ready to come home to family and friends,” explains the bride, who is from Chicago. The couple was joined by 85 of their closest friends and family at the Waldorf Astoria (11 E. Walton). After dinner and lots of dancing, when the clock struck midnight, their fairy-tale wedding didn’t end (naturally). The bride and groom and 12 of their guests moved the party to nearby nightclub, Proof. “I kicked off my shoes and danced on the couches till 4 in the morning,” laughs Rovirosa, who changed out of her billowing St. Pucchi gown into a soft, pink Badgley Mischka dress with rhinestone, crystal and feather detailing. In a nod to their professions, Rovirosa wore a Patek Philippe Twenty-4 watch and Eakes wore a Rolex President in rose gold with a silver diamond dial. “The wedding turned out to be everything I’ve ever dreamed,” says Rovirosa.
