Service Club of Chicago’s Day on the Terrace

Posted by Splash Staff on 05 Aug 2012

Chicago notables rocked the runway at the Service Club’s Parisian-themed Day on the Terrace Society starlets strutted down the catwalk at the Service Club of Chicago’s 12th annual Day on the Terrace. The Parisian-themed luncheon, co-chaired by Tracey Tarantino DiBuono, Jean Antoniou and Saira Mohan Cooper and held at the Peninsula Hotel, was peppered with Gallic influence, from mimes to French pop music. But the most stylish element was the runway show, featuring 80 fall looks styled by top retailers. WFLD-TV’s Robin Robinson wowed in an orange Escada dress, while society legend Mamie Walton modeled skin-tight leather pants. But what brought the house down was famed drag queen Chilli Pepper, who swept down the runway in a form-hugging mini dress and fur stole from Neiman Marcus. The event helped net $25,000 for the Service Club’s grant programs. The Sun-Times was the media sponsor of this event. Story by Zak Stemer | Photos by Ramzi Dreessen
